Description:

Damage Symptoms:

  • Both nymphs and adults infest terminal shoots and suck sap from the plant.
  • They excrete honeydew, leading to the formation of sooty mold.
  • The damage results in the devitalization of plants and causes twisting of leaves and young shoots.

Preventive Measures:

  • Introduce natural predators such as Coccinellids and green lacewings.

Control Measures:

  • Apply a foliar spray of dichlorvos at 1 ml/l, monocrotophos at 1.6 ml/l, methyl demeton at 2 ml/l, or dimethoate at 2 ml/l.
