Description:

  • Mites are more common in hot, dry weather conditions.
  • They can initially be observed on the undersides of fenugreek leaves.

Damage Symptoms:

  • Yellow or bronze spots appear on leaves, which later turn brown.
  • Fine webbing is visible on the undersides of leaves.
  • Leaf drop and reduced plant vigour.
  • Severe infestations can lead to defoliation.

Preventive Measures:

  • Regularly spray plants with water to dislodge mites and increase humidity.
  • Keep the field free of weeds.

Control Measures:

  • Spray neem oil at 5 ml/l.
  • In case of severe infestation, spray dicofol at 1 ml/l.
