Description:

  • This disease is transmitted by aphids.

Damage Symptoms:

  • Leaves curl downwards and become distorted, wrinkled, and reduced in size.
  • Stunting and rosetting of young leaves are observed.
  • Fruits are often misshapen, mottled, and reduced in size.
  • Fruits become bumpy and deformed in late infections.

Preventive Measures:

  • Remove infected plants.
  • Install yellow sticky traps in the field.

Control Measures:

  • Spray monocrotophos or phosphamidon at 1.5 ml per liter of water.
