Description:

Damage Symptoms:

  • Small light and dark green spots or squares form on the leaves.
  • Other symptoms include marginal curls, stunting, and reduced size of the lamina, which reduces the photosynthetic area.
  • The virus leads to chlorosis, wilting of leaves, and eventually slows down the growth of the plant.
  • Fruit size and quality are reduced.

Preventive Measures:

  • Remove the infected plants from the field.
  • Install sticky traps in the field to control aphid populations.

Control Measures:

  • Apply Imidacloprid at 0.4 ml/l or Thiamethoxam at 0.2 g/l.
