Description:

Damage Symptoms:

  • Small holes on seeds.
  • Dropping of flower buds and flowers, especially in severe infestations.
  • Red gram seeds are completely eaten and destroyed.

Preventive Measures:

  • Collect caterpillars by shaking the shoots and destroy them during the initial stages of infestation.

Control Measures:

  • Foliar spray with endosulfan at 2 ml/l, quinalphos at 2 ml/l, or carbaryl at 3 g/l.
