Description:

  • Dry weather conditions are favourable for the occurrence of this disease.

Damage Symptoms:

  • White, powdery fungal growth appears on the upper surfaces of leaves.
  • Later, the powdery spots can also be seen on stems and other plant parts.
  • In severe infections, the plants may become stunted, and the yield decreases.

Preventive Measures:

  • Practice crop rotation.
  • Avoid excessive application of nitrogenous fertilizers.

Control Measures:

  • Apply Dinocap @ 0.2%.
