Description:

  • Powdery mildew typically occurs during warm, dry weather between late spring and early fall.

Damage Symptoms:

  •  White powdery growth can be observed on the upper surface of the tomato plant's leaves, which may gradually spread to other parts of the plant.
  •  Infected tomato leaves turn yellow.
  •  In severe infestations, leaves become distorted and defoliated, resulting in reduced photosynthesis. The fruit size and quality are reduced.

Preventive Measures:

  •  Maintain proper spacing between plants.
  •  Remove and destroy infected plant debris.

Control Measures:

  • Spray Propiconazole 25% EC.
