Description:

  •  Thrips can transmit the disease.

Damage Symptoms:

  •  Small, circular, brown spots with a yellow or bronze halo occur on the tomato leaves.
  •  Infected tomato plants may become stunted.
  •  Growing tips may die back, and terminal branches may be streaked.
  •  Rings, blemishes, or discolourations occur on the fruits of infected tomato plants, rendering them unmarketable.

Preventive Measures:

  •  Remove and destroy infected plants.
  •  Install sticky traps in the field.

Control Measures:

  •  Apply insecticides like spinosad or imidacloprid to manage thrips.
