Description:

Damage Symptoms:

  • Both nymphs and adults suck sap from leaves and tender shoots.
  • The leaves curl and crinkle.
  • Excretion of honeydew leads to sooty mould, which interferes with the photosynthetic activity of plants.

Preventive Measures:

  • Install sticky traps in the field.

Control Measures:

  • Spray Dimethoate at 2 ml/l or Methyl Demeton at 2 ml/l
