Jassids predominantly occur during the juvenile phases of the cotton plant, with high levels of activity in warm and moist climates, specifically between May and August.
Damage Symptoms:
The edges of leaves turn yellow and eventually curl downwards.
Bronzing of the affected leaves and drying occurs.
In severe infestations, the plant weakens, and the number and size of bolls are reduced.
Preventive Measures:
Install yellow sticky traps in the field.
Control Measures:
Apply neem oil.
Apply acetamiprid at 0.2 g/l, imidacloprid at 0.4 ml/l, or thiamethoxam at 0.25 g/l.
