Description:

• The disease is spread by air-borne conidia.
• Warm, wet conditions are favourable for the occurrence of this disease.

Damage Symptoms:

• Small, round to irregular dark spots occur on leaves.
• Spots may merge, causing large necrotic areas.
• Yellowing and premature leaf drop in severe cases.
• Reduced plant vigour and yield loss.

Preventive Measures:

• Remove and destroy the infected plant debris.

Control Measures:

• Spray Mancozeb 1 kg or Carbendazim 500 g/ha.
